Obama Will Propose $17 Billion in Budget Cuts

Obama budget cuts, and the economy.
Obama is stating cutting the Goverment programs. Yes, that is great in all, but I don't think this budget should be so complicated. Stop spending money in Iraq, now that we have bases there we will have to keep soldiers there, but at the minimal. Put Major restrictions on companies to the point that they can't send jobs out of the US. Our trade deficit should be much less, our incoming from other countries should be greatly minimized. Those companies an example of "old navy" those clothes are made in Vietnam. Those companies should be made here. When the jobs are sent out of country, obviously that takes jobs from people here, they can't find jobs, they can't spend money, stores struggle. The major large companies have thieves for CEO's, and in return cry to the government that they want more money, because they previously blew the companies money. Obviously, the CEO's and his staff should just all be fired. Apparently, the government should fire the CEO's before ever giving the company any kind of assistance. Making it mandatory for the gas industry to carry E85 at the gas stations. There are very few gas stations in KY, that even carry E85. Essentially, this would save the customers money. There are a lot of cars out there which can use this type of gas, and they have nearly no access to it. There are so many simply budget cuts that could be done to save our economy. Which is in all reality common sense, but in all reality won't be done. Or if the changes take place it will take so many years to take place.

Mothers in Crisis Turn to Temporary ‘Parents’

Mothers in Crisis Turn to Temporary ‘Parents’
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/05/07/us/07safe.html?_r=1&hp

This was an article from the NY time, discussing a program called "Safe Families for Children". If a mother is an abusive relationship, she could turn her children over to this organization. Or another new situation was if a family is having hardship such as foreclosure they could turn their children over. This is wrong on so many levels. Yes, when women are in bad relationship they need help getting out of the situation sometimes. It's more of a psy situation of helping the women getting out. Perhaps maybe, making it mandatory of counseling, have volunteers from the local churches baby sit for free, helping the women relocate, job assistance, and education assistance. For a mother, or a family to give up their child due to some kind of hardship it is just educating the mother or enabling her to not take care of her responsibilities in life. I do agree, that there should be more programs to help the women. Our community here, has the Dove's. Possibly, women need to have more knowledge that these "communities" are available.

Are Banks Struggling or Scamming?

I read the article from "The Nation" Are Banks Stuggling or Scamming?
http://www.thenation.com/doc/20090511/howl?rel=hp_currently

The Wall street journal reports. The banking industry has been given money from the goverment at nearly 0%. With the money that has been "handed" to the banks, the banks are not leanding out more loans than previous. Quoted from Nicloas Van Hoffman Another possibility is that the banks may have found new ways to steal money, which is more profitable than lending it. The banks' conduct has been so devious, so mendacious, so shifty and so dishonorable that you cannot rule out any kind of sharp practice. You just can't trust the bastards.
In recent days, some banks have enhanced their reputations by announcing quarterly profits achieved not by business enterprise but by bookkeeping legerdemain. They have been rewarded for this misdirection by
seeing their stock walloped by investors.
Next comes Neil Barofsky, inspector general for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP). He warns that the way the Treasury Department is running the program makes it
open to massive swindles, and if there are swindles to be had, bank on the banks to get in on them.
As a few months ago, when the banks were handed money to recover. I personally was being optimistic that the banking industry would somewhat recover with positive results in the future. It should be apparent now, that the situation is more than just problems with loans from first time home buyers. The problems goes down to scamming CEO, etc. Even after with bailouts, and "free" money. There seems to a problem with giving out loans. I personally, don't think that there should be anymore bailouts, to any of the large companies. One, time of bailouts would have been one situation enough. Even with the money handed out, in those situations the money was not monitored nor did the government regulate where the money went. So, appearntly the banks were able to make some money and blew some money. Without using the money to help the economy. I have been curious how many bailouts, the government will do? For the car industry, to the banking industry. With no positive results, it's obvious that the bailouts is only going to hurt the economy.

Ten Things You Can Do to Oppose the War in Afghanistan

This article was found in "The Nation" apeared in the April 27th.

By far, this article has been the most hideous aricle that I have read so far. I was a bit flabergasted as I saw the article. "Ten Things You Can Do to Oppose the War in Afghanistian"
In response to the 10 ideas.
Their first idea, was to have more of a stategy, plan, protection against the Afghan women stated in the trailer. To start off, the American soldiers have been in Country disabling the IED's. And as you may hear on the news, that Americans ran over a "roadside" bomb. Wow, everytime, I hear a reporter say that, they sound phemonally studpid. There are NO, "roadside bombs". A majortiy of the time, there are no true roads in Afgahnistain. The bombs are in the roads not on the side of the road. If the IEDs, were on the side of the road. Then, why in the heck would Americans be driving on the side of the road? Some of the American Soldiers are there looking for those, IED's disabling them before an explosion would happen for protection of the Afgahn civilians and of course protection the American Soliders that are there. This is just one of theire missions that they are fulling while in Country.
The second point, for alternative stategies. The above mentioned is working so far for the protection of the Afgahn women and children. Along with other stargies in the process at this time.
The third idea, just sounds disrepectful!
The fouth idea, just sounds disprectfull!
The fifth idea, of what to ask the Congressional hearing about Afgahnisitian. Would be to send more troops. Personally, they should remove the act that Bush put in place several years ago of placing the Full time military in Country for 6 months. This enabled the Country not to have a draft. In return the National Guards throughout the US, are the majority of the ones who are active in the War from the US. Which, that is not the purpose of the Guard. I seriously, tought that there should have been a draft several years ago.
Their sixth idea, send more troops to Afgahnistian!
Their seventh idea, for placing information in the paper. The same as above, remove troops from Iraq, place more in Afgahnistian, remove the hideious Act that Bush placed, implace a draft.
Their eigth Yes, Americans who are for the women and children should send items to Afgahnistain. I personally, have sent items to Country for the Children. Obviously the children, don't have anything. I have sent, crayons, candy, paper, etc. The American Soldiers hand the chlidren bottles of Water, the children fight other children just to get on of those bottles of Water.
Their ninth, of joining a campus anti War. This is absolutely disrespectful the soldiers who in the War now, and who have already served their time in Country.
The tenth, my response to this last idea is the same as number 9.

Opposing and convincing the public to stop the War in Afghanistan apparently do not have the knowledge of what is going on in Country. Personally, I take that as disrespect for the American troops who have served in that country. The American troops have been serving a purpose in Country. Drafting the Taliban, which as stated in the Article 2008 was the worst year to date.

In just the opposite, of the Iraq War. The soldiers deserve respect, but there has been no "true" reason to be there.

Obama four questions

From the link: http://www.alternet.org/
Obama the four questions
response:

As of the question of "exit strategy". Yes, there needs to be an strategy, but no time frame.
Actually, with the second opinion of the writer I disagree with. There needs to be the measurements, and the tracking of progress. So, that is an Republican opinion that it is just a promise versus actual plans to be intact that would work.
Obama wants to send more troops, this will help because the coalition has been on the defensive instead of the offensive. The Taliban surged in 2008 and that was the worst year since the war had begun. Obama also wants to send 4000 troops to train the Afghan National Army. While most of the ANA appear to be excellant combatants against the Taliban, there remain a few that are corrupt. Hopefully the extra 4000 can not only train, but weed the corrupt out.

Stealing Jobs

This first blog is about the article from http://www.blackcommentator.com/310/310_col_review_wage_theft_in_america.html

A book review of wage theft in America.
This is a fitting article considering Obama, has been pushing to get a policy in place to help with the issues of the jobs.

As stated in this article about the wage stealing. Jobs, such as servers are paid less than min wage. I do believe that it is robbery that servers or any kind of job that is legally paid less than min. wage. It states that tips are sometimes stolen. Something that is unethical which is not stated on there. When leaving a tip on a credit card transaction most restaurants take a percentage of that. The customers who is flipping the bill is not aware of that situation. In all reality, if a business owner or corporation owns a restaurant or other business that would employee servers, or anyone who would receive tips. It should be mandated that the owners pay their employees at least min. wage. and tips should be just extra income for the employee.

Our country, is in a crisis for job shortages. This has been in the slow process of job shortages. The contribution of the job loss would be shipping the call centers to India, and factory jobs over seas this has been occuring for years. With, the President trying to fix the job situation in America will not be able to be fixed with a short fix. The jobs have been shipped off for many years. There needs to be a stop and possibly a reverse on shipping jobs off. To, help Americans to have a jobs.
